We are proud of the events in cooperation with Blodsockerkollen and Diabetes Wellness Sverige in Marieberg Galleria and Emporia, where visitors were given the opportunity to test their blood sugar free of charge. The events were also a reminder to take the test, since many people are suffering of diabetes without knowing it!

Diabetes is one of the major public diseases that is growing rapidly, with almost 500 000 people in Sweden suffering from some form of diabetes. In Sweden, it is estimated that more than 600 000 people will have diabetes by 2030 if the trend is not reversed. But many people don’t even realise they have the disease, with 150,000 walking around with diabetes without knowing it. In December, our visitors at Marieberg Galleria and Emporia were given the opportunity to test their blood sugar free of charge in collaboration with Blodsockerkollen to find out if they were at risk of type 2 diabetes. This initiative is part of many initiatives we love, where our shopping centers are servicing the local communities and the host regions where they are located, by providing concrete solutions to local need.
